Refurbishment of Loopline Rail Bridge, Dublin
A unique scheme in Dublin city centre, the project involved the refurbishment, painting and minor repair of Liffey Viaduct and Beresford Place bridges. Constructed in 1891 the bridges are located in one of the main thoroughfares of Dublin city interacting with the light rail network, public and private transport routes and the Liffey River.
Given the complexity of the project, its location and the necessity to maintain the operation of the Rail and DART lines the Client maintained the Roles of both Project Supervisor Design Process and Project Supervisor Construction Stage.
Drafting both a preliminary and developed Health & safety Plans OCSC prepared and operated a Safe Management system for both the administrative and operation roles through the Project.
Works were carried out on a 24 hour 7 day per week basis and the project was completed without any safety incidents.
