Athlone Town Centre
The Athlone Town Centre project is a large city centre development with up to 3 levels of basement, mainly for carpark but also plant, goods deliveries and hotel services (leisure centre, food preparation areas and offices).
At ground level half the site has a transfer structure with 8 buildings (6 No. residential, 1 No. medical centre and 1 No. crèche). The other half of the site has 2 No. levels of retail and hotel reception/meeting rooms. A large glass roof covers the main retail open space.
On the second level above ground there is another transfer slab with 6 residential units and hotel rooms. The hotel rooms consist of 2 No. levels shaped roughly as an 'H' and a 12 storey tower with viewing gallery at the top.
