O’Connor Sutton Cronin have been appointed as Mechanical and Electrical Consultants for the for a significant new retail development in Elblag, Poland. The centre is being developed by Irish Company Spirit International Poland. Construction is due to commence in 2009 with a scheduled for completion by mid 2010. The new complex of 50,000m² will include a Hypermarket, DIY Store, Home Electrical Store as well as 20,000m² of mall space with various shops and restaurants.
The shopping centre will be the first major retail development in the area. The city of Elblag, which has 130,000 inhabitants, is located near the Warsaw-Gdansk motorway. The city is situated 60km from Tricity and 50km from the border with Russian Federation. The centre will incorporate a large food court and speciality retail and promotion area. The development will be designed to maximise natural light and use innovative sustainability principles.
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services
The Mechanical and Electrical Systems with the development shall consist of Mechanical Ventilation to Staff, Food Court, Public Area and Mall Area. Basic Sanitary Systems and Water Services are provided within Staff, Food Court and Public Areas. Gas Fired Heating Centres provide Low Pressure Hot Water via ring main to the serve the space Heating Systems within the Mall Area. Small retail units are served by Refrigerant Based Air-Conditioning Systems.
Services to Anchor Tenants consist of Local Space Heating, Ventilation, Sanitary and Water Services Systems. Fire Protection is provided by Sprinkler Systems, Internal and External Fire Hydrants and Smoke Ventilation Systems Main Electrical Intake/Service, Main Switchboard & Electrical Room, Power Factor Correction, Sub Mains Distribution, Cable Containment, Standby Generator, UPS System, Earthing & Bonding, Internal & External Lighting, Emergency Lighting & Exit Signage, Office Work Station Power Services, General Services Socket Outlets Installation, ELV Socket Outlets Installation, BMS, Special Power Provisions, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm.
