O’Connor Sutton Cronin were commissioned by Unite Group to provide full Civil/Structural and Mechancial & Electrical Services for this student accommodation on Waterloo Road, London.

The development consists of 145 residential units over ground floor retail space.

A number of structural options have been considered for this building including an RC frame solution with concrete flat slabs, a Precast Concrete System Build Solution with Precast Concrete Cross Walls supporting precast concrete floors, a lightweight steel frame solution and a load bearing pod system build solution.

Renewable Energy target measures:

  • BREEAM excellent rating targeted.
  • Air Source heat pumps to provide heating and hot water.
  • Heat recovery ventilation provided to all residential units.
