Riverside IV, Dublin

This project consisted of 3 to 8 storey office & residential development over a single storey basement. The structure consists of a reinforced concrete flat slab typically on reinforced concrete columns.

The development has been built in three blocks on what was the gasworks site on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay in Dublin. Due to the poor quality of the soil on the site, a remediation contract was carried out to remove the poor quality soil in the basement region. The basement was then protected with a HDPE gas proof liner and high specification concrete to deal with the adverse effects of the contaminants in the soil.

This is part of the overall development of the Old Gasworks in Dublin which is now a major business centre.
