This project involved the provision of over 430 bed residential units comprising 9 No. blocks of 5/6 storey accommodation over basement carpark.
Following a number of structural options, a RC multi-store frame (column and flat slab) was considered the most economic and advantageous for the tight programme. The use of pre-fabrication and off-site construction was extensive including Tecrete external wall panels, bathroom and kitchen pods. Two of the blocks were specifically designed to accommodate their use as a hotel and conference facilities during the summer months.
