OCSC have been working as Consulting Engineers at the National University of Ireland Galway since 1999. We have completed a number of major buildings including: Millennium Postgraduate Arts and Modern Languages Building, restaurant extension, Cairnes School of Business and Law, Cultural Center and Arts Building Extension. We are also working on a School of Human Biology at present.
The ground conditions at NUIG are varied including boulder clays with glacial solution features. We have devised solutions which allow economic development of building on the challenging ground conditions.
OCSC have provided structural solutions which include the economic use of standard precast components utilised in novel ways to achieve long span raked lecture theatres.
We were also involved in the development of the new Newcastle Road campus including the primary entrance and infrastructure.
