O’Connor Sutton Cronin were appointed by Clanmil Housing Association to provide the structural advice and design for this social housing development. The development will consist of 62 semi-detached 2 storey houses. The houses will be founded on strip footings on lean mix concrete. The superstructure is generally insitu concrete and precast hollowcore floors with masonry walls and timber roofing.
Along with the houses OCSC were involved with gaining TAS approvals for the structures close to roads and the design of all the retaining walls throughout the development.
It is anticipated that the scheme will achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 as a minimum.
