Parnell’s GAA

The Parnell’s GAA Development involves a large 19.2 acre sports facility in the heart of Coolock Village. The development is centered on the provision of a full size natural turf pitch to meet GAA inter-county standards, and a full size artificial training pitch. A second artificial pitch to meet the FIFA 1-star specification is also included. The specification for the above pitches was prepared by our in-house pitch specialist who has an in depth knowledge and understanding of the requirements for all the main sporting bodies such as GAA, FAI, FIFA & IRFU for playing surfaces.

The scheme includes an extensive drainage network to the playing surfaces, the access road and associated parking areas. The drainage network was designed in consultation with our pitch specialist who also prepared a specification for the maintenance regime to be adapted for the playing surfaces.

The development is environmentally conscious, both locally with specialised pitch lighting near neighbouring residences and also globally with solar panels for water heating to ground water sources for pitch irrigation.

The project also includes a c.3,000m2 club house building comprising gym, function room, bar and lounge along with changing facilities.
