Apartment Development at Sudbury Arms

Sudbury Arms consists of a five storey apartment building with 40 apartment units which are being constructed next to London Underground's Picadilly Tube Line.

Durkan Ltd are the Main Contractor to Design and Build this new development. This project has recently commenced on site and the design intent is to construct piled foundations and RC Ground Beams which support loadbearing masonry walls with RC vertical ties. The loadbearing walls will support 150mm deep precast hollowcore floors with a structural screed. RC transfer beams at first floor provide the clear space beneath for vehicles to access to the rear car park.

Due to the close proximity of the tube lines, OCSC have been involved in the completion of a vibration analysis which demonstrates that the tube line will have a negligible impact on the environment of future apartment users. OCSC have been successful in negotiations with tube lines to enable the demolition and piling works to commence.
