Laytown Eco-Residential Park
This development of 1500 homes is designed to minimize the environmental impact and provide a sustainable solution to all aspects of modern living. Potable water is supplied from a well with on-site treatment and storage. The demand for potable water is reduced through a combination of water saving devices and by recycling wastewater generated by the development for grey-water uses such as toilet flushing. An innovative Living Machine © wastewater treatment works provided within the development will treat wastewater for reuse and discharge to an estuary. A Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) with full treatment train from source to discharge also forms part of the development.
