O’Connor Sutton Cronin & Associates were engaged by IDA Ireland to bring the Infrastructure Upgrade Works within IDA South County Business & Technology Park through the design, construction, and handover stages including fulfilling the roles of Employer’s Representative, Resident Engineer, and PSDP.

  • The scheme required the upgrading of the pedestrian and cyclist facilities within the park to cater to the growing needs and connectivity with local amenities. The works include but are not restricted to, an upgrade of the road infrastructure, provision of new and/or upgrade of existing footpaths, pedestrian crossings (controlled and uncontrolled), and the provision of new cycle track facilities.
  • The junction improvement works involved the realignment and construction of three roundabouts within the business and technology park and connection to each of the existing side roads and entrances.
  • OCSC completed a new public lighting design to upgrade the lighting along the scheme including the separation of the lighting between the main alignment and the side roads.
  • Accommodation works, in the form of upgraded entrances, assessment and incorporation of existing walls and building facades into the proposed design, and liaison with Stakeholders and tenants within the business park.
  • OCSC completed a feasibility study for the project and liaised with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council to achieve the optimum solution for the scheme. Prior to the completion of the design for the scheme, OCSC completed Stakeholder liaison and management of 3rd Party Surveys.
  • OCSC completed a full design for the project with the aim of providing a design that had minimal impact on the existing services. OCSC was contracted to tender and procure a Contractor utilizing the Capital Works Management Framework which involved the issuing of Tender Documents, Tender Appraisal Reports,s and Contractor Appointments. OCSC was appointed as PSDP for each element of the scheme.
